Steel
We all love wood, but it is not an ideal building material. Too many defects make it unpredictable. Steel is used on the most advanced products, from iPhones to rockets. So we started with a steel chassis. We engineered in strength and flexibility while developing a simple system that can be adapted to any project. The steel chassis is the starting point for the rest of the AET Building System.
Engineering
Steel allows the system to have precise tolerances which in turn allows for robotic manufacturing. We developed a elegantly simple joinery system that brings the assemblies together quickly in the field. The system can only be assembled on way–the correct way. No guessing or estimating on the job site. This means the entire project can be assembled on site in under a week with zero defects.
Technology
We looked at every part that goes into a residential project and then asked ‘why use it’. The system uses innovative parts and advanced materials. Electrical systems snap together with fool proof connectors. Plumbing connections are fast and leak proof. Advanced materials allow assemblies to come from the factory ready to be installed. Technology is not employed because it is cool, rather it is used to reduce work steps and make that work error free. No more reversed electrical circuits and plumbing joints that leak.

No building site is the same and no two houses are exactly the same. You need flexibility, but you need it fast. The AET System allows the designer to be creative and meet your customer’s needs while still keeping it easy to manufacture using standard materials, parts and processes. This makes the system affordable and predictable.
